At Hurstpierpoint Pre-School, we organise the sessions so that the children can choose from a range of activities to build up their ability to select and work through a task to its completion. The children are also helped and encouraged to take part in adult-led small and large group activities which introduce them to new experiences and help them to gain new skills, as well as helping them to learn to work with others.
We also have 2 outdoor spaces, hard standing and grassed, so that the children can enjoy activities and learning experiences both inside and out. All activities contribute to children’s health, their physical development and their knowledge of the world around them.
Our aims are:-
- To celebrate the uniqueness of every child, supporting their individual interests and learning styles in order to progress their learning and development.
- To offer an exciting range of stimulating activities and experiences encouraging creativity and independence.
- To support children’s learning by developing positive and caring relationships with children and their families.
- To encourage involvement of families in all aspects of Pre-School and to help ease the transition from home and family and provide an environment that celebrates individuality and diversity.
